TIME NEEDED
The video is less than 15 minutes, but the actual project may take closer to 30 minutes to complete, especially if your child decides to design and color their screen with markers. Remember, this video can be paused at any point if you need more time to finish a step.
AGE LEVEL
This art lesson + project is for all ages but geared towards the elementary level.
YOUNGER STUDENT OPTION
Cutting with scissors is great practice
to improve fine motor skills. For those little hands that tire easily while cutting, take a break, skip cutting all the keyboard strips and instead only cut one large rectangle. There are no mistakes in art, and it's beautiful to see every unique creation. Keep encouraging those cute, little hands.
PARENT/TEACHER TIP
Vary the laptop size. These would be cute, miniature laptops. Instead of beginning with standard paper size, trim the paper to a 5x7 size prior to starting the project. They'll be cute mini-laptops!
