FREE ART LESSON + PROJECT FOR KIDS
DRAW A GREAT WAVE
Learn to draw a great wave inspired by Katsushika Hokusai's print titled, The Great Wave off Kanagawa. We'll incorporate complementary colors using oil pastels as we color in the wave, foam, and sunny background.
My favorite part about this project... there are no mistakes in art! Have fun creating this huge, huge wave.
Colored pencils (blue and yellow)
Oil pastels (light blue, dark blue, light yellow, dark yellow, orange, and white)
Paper towel or scrap paper
Cloth/paper to protect table

This art lesson + project is for all ages but geared towards the elementary level.
