FREE ART LESSON + PROJECT FOR KIDS
DRAW A CREAMSICLE
Learn to draw and color a Creamsicle — ice cream and a popsicle blended together on a stick. Yum! The most common is flavor is oranges and cream, but you could come up with plenty of other flavors…. strawberries and cream, peaches and cream, lemons and cream, raspberries and cream, blueberries and cream, even kiwi and cream. Make it your favorite, fruity flavor.
My favorite part about this project... there are no mistakes in art! Have fun creating your creamy popsicle.

AGE LEVEL
This art lesson + project is for all ages but geared towards the elementary level.
YOUNGER STUDENT OPTION
Have a preschooler or younger child who wants to create alongside their older sibling but is not quite ready to follow along with the video? A printable version of the Creamsicle drawing is available (free!). Print the pdf copy and encourage your child to trace and color the drawing: Creamsicle Coloring Page.
PARENT/TEACHER TIP
Vary the color of each Creamsicle drawing. Make one strawberry (red, pink), another lemon (yellows), and another peach (pink, peach), or any of your flavor favorites.
Instead of drawing and coloring multiple Creamsicles on the paper, draw only one. Make it large and centered on your paper.
After drawing the Creamsicles, you could also choose to the color the background of your paper using the complementary color of your Creamsicle.
